Sunbirds & Coral tree sgraffito vessel

This piece is on sale reduced from £400 as it has a very small light blemish on the piece which is about 2mm across and a pale brown in colour. This is very hard to see and the rest of the piece is in perfect condition.

Inspiration for this piece was taken from the beautiful Olive backed Sunbird which I placed with a tropical Coral tree.

Every unique design has been created by hand with love, care and attention to detail.

This piece has been thrown on the wheel, left to slightly dry and then goes through many different techniques using drawing, carving, clay slips and sgraffito to create the intricate designs onto the damp clay surface.

The decoration continues across the base which is a very unusual and distinctive feature of my ceramic art. Each piece takes many hours and no two will ever look the same.
