Hawkmoth sgraffito wall hanging

This piece is on sale reduced from £100 as it has a very small blemish on the piece which is about 2mm across and a pale brown in colour. This is quite small but can be seen and the rest of the piece is in perfect condition.

Inspiration for this piece was taken from the Privet hawkmoth which I placed with a Bindweed flower.

Every unique design has been created by hand with love, care and attention to detail.

This piece has been thrown on the wheel, left to slightly dry and then goes through many different techniques using drawing, carving, clay slips and sgraffito to create the intricate designs onto the damp clay surface.

Each piece takes many hours and no two will ever look the same. All of my wall hangings have a disc hanger attached to the back as well as four felt feet.
