Inspiration for this piece was taken from the very bright scarlet skimmer which lives across Asia and I have placed them with a floating water hyacinth plant.

Every unique design has been created by hand with love, care and attention to detail.
This piece has been thrown on the wheel, left to slightly dry and then goes through many different techniques using drawing, carving, clay slips and sgraffito to create the intricate designs onto the damp clay surface.

The decoration continues across the base which is a very unusual and distinctive feature of my ceramic art. Each pieces takes many hours and no two will ever look the same.
This piece measures 14.5cm high / 8.5cm wide /3cm foot / 403 grams
